Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is doing well. Here are few important things coming up.

 First and foremost, this coming Sunday April 30, we will be participating in the CITY OF GARFIELD CENTENNIAL PARADE. We will begin to line up by 11:30am - 12:00 noon at the Veterans Monument by Commerce Street and Midland Avenue. At City Hall, there will be giveaways, food/refreshments, music, bounce houses, a rock climbing wall and other entertainment. City of Garfield plays a big role in the success of our club for many, many years. Please make an effort to attend to show our appreciation. Have the kids wear theirgame uniforms. Hope to see you all there.

 Tuesday - May 9 @ 8:30 pm, there will be a meeting at the Wislaclub, where we will release all registration info for the 2017/2018 season. Detailed information and registration forms will be available. It is important that all coaches and team managers attend this meeting

Try-outs will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday - May 15, 17, 19, from 5pm to 6pm at the 20th Century Field (where we practice). Please remember being on a travel team is a big commitment. More practices,games on weekends and higher registration fees. We will be running try-outs for travel teams in following age groups:

- GIRLS: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

- BOYS: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Any other age groups can try-out directly with coaches of current teams.

 We will be running the summer REC programs. The sessions will be four days a week Monday-Thursdayfrom 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The fee is going to be $65 each week per child.

The weeks are as follows: Jun 19 – 22 / Jun 26 – 29 / Jul 4 – 7 / Jul 10 - 13

If you sign up for at least two weeks you will receive a t-shirt. If you sign for three or more weeks you will get t-shirt and a sports bottle.

The details and applications will be available after May 15 and registration will begin.

We will be also running full day (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) summer soccer camps. The program dates are going to be: Jul 17 – 21 / July 24 – 28 / Jul 31 – Aug 4 with a fee of $200 per week.

 As previously announced, we will hold a Club Picnic combining the end of the season awards presentation as well as celebrating the Club’s 65th Anniversary on Jun 17 & 18. It will be held at Swim & Sports Club in Flanders, NJ. We will announce the detailed schedule and attractions before the end of May, but please “save the date” now. Anyone, who wants to stay overnight can bring the tent or camping gear. Olympic size swimming pool, evening dance party, soccer games, attractions for kids (and beer garden for adults) are all in store…
